Help & FAQ

Common questions about buying and selling enterprise assets on SellerSouk. Have something else? Ask us via a listing's Q&A or reach out at legal@sellersouk.com.

How much does it cost to sell on SellerSouk?+

SellerSouk charges a flat 10% success fee on the sale price, plus 5% VAT on that fee — charged only when an asset actually sells. There are no fees to list, browse, or make offers, and no other charges beyond the success fee and any real payment-processing cost passed through at cost.

How does AI valuation work?+

Upload a photo or description of an asset and AI identifies the manufacturer and model against our catalog, pulls comparable recent sales, and returns two numbers in seconds: an instant-offer price (paid immediately) and a market list price (typically higher, for buyers to find over time). Every valuation shows its confidence level and how many comparable sales it's based on.

What is an instant offer?+

An instant offer is a same-day cash offer for your asset instead of waiting for a buyer to find it on the marketplace. It's calculated as a bounded discount off the market price, reflecting the certainty and speed of an immediate sale. You choose which items go to instant offer and which go to the open marketplace — there's no obligation to accept.

What does KYB (trade license) verification check?+

Every organization submits a trade license number during signup, which is reviewed separately from account creation — it doesn't block buying or selling, but affects your organization's visible trust score. A verified badge means the trade license has been reviewed and confirmed; an unverified badge is shown honestly rather than hidden.

Is SellerSouk available across the whole GCC?+

Yes. SellerSouk is built for organizations across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. Buyers and sellers can be registered in different GCC countries — see our Terms of Service for how cross-border customs and tax responsibilities are handled.

How do payments work?+

Sellers who connect a Stripe payout account receive buyer payments directly via Stripe, automatically minus our fee. If a seller hasn't connected Stripe yet, the sale still completes and settles on our internal ledger, with payout arranged directly.

Does SellerSouk handle shipping or delivery?+

Not yet. In this phase, SellerSouk provides valuation, listing, verified-buyer matching, messaging, and payment facilitation — but not shipping, delivery, or customs clearance. Buyers and sellers coordinate collection directly, through the on-platform messaging tool so there's a record if a dispute comes up. Logistics features are planned for a future phase.

What happens if there's a dispute?+

Either party can open a dispute within 14 days of a sale completing. SellerSouk reviews the evidence both sides provide — including on-platform messages — and can issue a full or partial refund, or deny the dispute. Because delivery isn't currently verified by the platform, keeping all communication on-platform (not phone or WhatsApp) is what makes a dispute resolvable.

Can I negotiate on a listing instead of paying the list price?+

Yes. Any buyer can make an offer on an active listing. The seller can accept, decline, or counter it — and if they counter, the buyer can accept the counter-offer to complete the sale. Sellers set an instant-offer floor so a listing is never negotiated below that value.

What categories of assets can I buy or sell?+

Office furniture, IT equipment, kitchen equipment, hospitality FF&E, medical equipment, materials surplus, and industrial & machinery. Every category has its own AI valuation model tuned to how that category typically depreciates and resells.
